KEM-O-PRO's high-performance SCO-922 contains water-soluble Ester Synthetic Oils, that offer substantial advantages over conventional emulsion-type and oil-soluble petroleum oils - including greater biodegradability. The high temperature stability of Ester Synthetic Oils results in less misting and smoke and lower tool temperatures. Unique corrosion and rust inhibitors make SCO-922 synonymous with high quality, and cost effective protection for ferrous and non-ferrous metals even in 100:1 dilutions. Anti wear and EP (extreme pressure) additives, exceptionally low in S (20 ppm), P (16 ppm), and Cl (100 ppm), prevent welding of metals to tools, resulting in the finest machining of metal parts without staining or corrosion.

Mixing of KEM-O-PRO's SCO-922 with water results in a completely clear solution rather than the typically milky look of emulsion type cutting oils. Machined parts and metal tools can be easily examined during operation for greater efficiency, and higher production rates. SCO-922 does not support growth of bacterial and fungal microorganism, preventing undesirable odor formation during long machining or storage periods.

DIRECTIONS:

1. Drain and clean oil sump from previously used cutting oils.
2. • For medium duty applications, such as: sawing, turning, milling, and tapping pipe threads, try a 5% concentration by volume of KEM-O-PRO SCO-922 Synthetic Metalworking Fluid. Premix 1 part by volume of SCO-922 Clear Synthetic Metalworking Fluid-522 concentrate with 19 parts by volume of water (20:1 dilution), and add to oil sump. Easily mixes with hard, soft, or distilled water.
   • For heavy duty applications, such as: roll tapping, drilling, and broaching, try concentrations of SCO-922 above 5% by volume like a 10:1 dilution (1 part SCO-922 with 9 parts water).
   • For light duty applications, such as: grinding, add more water. Try 30-50:1 solutions.
3. Recirculate to assure clear fluid appearance in sump. If not clear, discard and add new mix.
4. During machining operations, check clarity, concentration and level of fluid as often as possible. For best performance, remove tramp oils and filter fines.
5. To remove residue from machined parts, dip in soap solution and rinse with water. To prevent corrosion or rust formation during handling or storage, leave SCO-922 residue on or dip in fresh SCO-922 solution. Store in dry location. Coated machine parts may be welded without prior cleaning.
6. Suitable for machining plastics including: Delrin, fluorocarbon resins and acrylics.
